Licensed Cadastral Surveyor

Warkworth Surveyors Limited is a well-established land surveying company that’s been practicing in the Rodney Area, north of Auckland, for over 30 years. We’re a small, experienced, and efficient team providing high quality surveying services to our clients. We’re involved in a broad range of urban and rural subdivision and/or land development projects, providing our friendly staff with a healthy variety in their work.

We live and work within a stunning rural and coastal area, just 50 minutes north of the Auckland CBD. You can enjoy beautiful beaches and regional parks, surfing, fishing, vineyards, craft breweries, restaurants, and the famous Matakana Farmers’ Market. There are excellent schools and a strong community – it’s a great place to bring up a family.

We’re looking for a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor to join our team and settle in this idyllic area preferably with the view to taking on partial or full ownership of the business in the near to medium future (as best suits).

We’re offering a competitive salary package based on experience and skill set. We can help with relocation costs and, if required, with the financing of any future share holdings.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • New Zealand qualified Licensed Cadastral Surveyor.

  • Have a sound knowledge of the Resource Consent Process

  • Be familiar with Landonline and the current Cadastral Survey Rules 2021

  • Have good communication skills and be able to work autonomously or within a team.

  • Preferably, have a full NZ driver licence.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Manage survey projects for our clients.

  • Manage field staff *.

  • Liaise with clients, other consultants, Council and LINZ to expedite client projects.

  • Check, sign and certify cadastral survey datasets.

  • Check and certify other survey deliverables.

  • Help train junior staff.

* There will be some flexibility for the successful applicant to carry out some field work if so desired. It is however anticipated that this will largely be an office-based role.
